Minerals are misterious tresours from the heart of the earth that since always fascinated men.
The ancient Greek considered a quarz crystall as a very resistant ice crystall, that never melted. They called it crystallos. From this word the derived the actual word for crystall.
On 7th February 1981 the Section of the CMM (Club of the minerals friends of Meran) for the Venosta Valley was founded. At the present the Section counts 42 members.
