The visitor centre is located in the heart of Prato allo Stelvio, and offers a special kind of experience in touch with nature. It's variety of aquariums allow th possibility to explore the unknowmn world of water close-up, providing a unique view of the local fauna of aquatic life.

The exhibitions: “In the Empire of
King Ortles” on the first floor, is
dedicated to the National Park
and particularly to the region's
jewels and particularities;
“Nature Creates Nature” deals
with the adaptation and strategies
of plants and animals, and
looks at the local geology;
“Nature Forms Humans” concentrates
on the National Park’s
philosophy. Focusing on the
future and in particular towards
the young people, investing in a
new thinking of ‘close to nature’;
“Humans Form Nature” is about
living with nature with double
significance. On one hand
improving the economic
connection with nature, and on
the other surviving with the
natural resources of the rural and
industrial world.
